How do I save the character, Claudia, in Into The Abyss?

Upon entering the room, an NPC (Claudia) can be seen in an elevator hanging over a pit, she begs for the players' help in getting her down. 

To save Claudia:

1. You must shoot the two highlighted wood beams that are holding up the big wood plank. Which will then drop it over the pit. 
2. You can then either shoot the crane to drop the elevator, or wait for the fire to burn it. As long as the plank is there, Claudia is "Saved"

To kill Claudia: 

1. You can shoot all 3 crane pieces to drop the elevator into the pit before putting the plank down, or wait until the fire burns the first two and shoot the last piece

To abandon Claudia: 

1. You have to wait for the crane to burn up.
2. If they shoot the first two pieces of the crane but leave the last one this is considered "Abandoned", as long as they don't fire the shot that kills Claudia it will be considered "Abandoned"
