How do I complete the puzzle in the Vampires Lair in Into The Abyss?

This is a match 3 puzzle. You will be shown at the beginning of the puzzle 3 white images on circular nodes. 

As you progress through the level, you will notice more circular nodes with a variety of images on them. Your job is to find the initial 3 that were at the entrance in the caves and to shoot them. 

If you shoot the correct node it will turn green, and when all 3 correct nodes are shot, every node turns green and cannot be interacted with further

 

 

If you succeed, the door opens and the cart progresses

 

What will happen if I do not complete the puzzle?

If at any point before the puzzle is solved, the wrong node is shot all 10 of them will turn red for a second and then return to blue, even ones that were previously correct, meaning the player has to restart the puzzle

 

If you fail to do solve the puzzle by the second loop, the cart is swarmed by Winged Vampires as the third loop begins
